Loved KUSC for years!
We have loved listening to KUSC for years, from many places. Serving overseas, we depended on the internet to keep us connected and feeling less stressed in difficult places. Now we are retired and living on Whidbey Island in WA state and wouldn’t be without KUSC! I stream the programs on the iPad in my kitchen and the iPad on my office desk. Love so many of the programs and presenters... especially Jennifer Miller, Diane Niccolini, Jim Sjveda.. and the rest of the wonderful crew... and now, an absolute treat to listen to the new Christmas music channel. I love that the music on this channel is more of the best ever written... not department store muzak!
We are supporters of KUSC and will be for years to come. THANK YOU!
Keeps me grounded
First thing I do when I get to the office is click into KUSC - low in the background; it evens out the stressful moments of the day. When I get home at night, if I am cooking, I turn it on while I pour my glass of wine. Somehow I concentrate better. I love listening to the different programs — and learn something new about classical music every day. I especially enjoy Sunday evening — From the Top, which celebrates the amazing talents of young people, and then the 7 p.m. concert. Its so fun to sometimes hear again a symphony I’ve heard a few weeks prior at the Hollywood Bowl or Disney Concert Hall. KUSC has enriched my quality of life in so many ways!
Wonderfully selected Classical Music everywhere
I have loved and listened to KUSC since I was a child and as an adult I have had the joy of learning just how good their selection truly is. KUSC is on the radio in Los Angeles but I think it’s one of the best classical stations anywhere. I spend a lot of time traveling and no matter where I am, this is what I listen to. Highly recommended to any lover of classical music or anyone who wants to learn more about classical music. It’s not just oldies too! At night they often play the works of contemporary composers and always are sure to give context for composers you may not know especially well.
