Learn to tell the time easily and in a fun way with ClockWise! The app is easy to use and suitable for all ages, young and old. With different exercises and difficulty levels, this is the most comprehensive and free clock-learning app in the AppStore! The app was developed in collaboration with a teacher to provide the best support for outside and inside school. ClockWise provides support with 2 different types of clocks, analog and digital, for each exercise! ClockWise is specially made for children, discover the convenience. The ease and cheerful children make practicing fun in a playful way! For each answer, clear feedback is given in an interactive way, visually and audio. Children can therefore use the app completely independently, but practicing together with your child makes it even more fun. All assignments are clearly spoken in Dutch. With every correct answer, the time is spoken. You can also record your own voice! Make it even more personal and recognizable for your child. This encourages practice. ClockWise has 4 exercises: - 'Give the correct answer'. Look at the clock, give the correct answer from 3 choices! - 'Finds the right picture'. Read the question carefully, choose the right clock! - 'Set the clock'. Read the question carefully, adjust the clock! - 'Quiz!'. Look carefully at the clock, pay attention to the number of minutes that comes next! ClockWise has 5 difficulty levels: - Whole hours - Half hours - Quarters - 10 minutes - 5 minutes Works with Hue! With this app there are no ads, no in-game purchases and no distractions. Just a fun learning experience for your little one. The final modules with the tests on telling the time are quite advanced and were a bit fiddly on my phone, although I eventually completed the games and challenges.

Ads and Subscription Required

I purchased this application for my 4-year-old who is learning to tell time. Sadly, I won’t be using it since it is ad-based and requires a subscription for additional features that should be included at the base price. As a teacher and a parent, I will not subject my child to pointless ads and refuse to have a subscription for an application that has such a basic premise. This is a paid app. In my opinion, Apple should not allow developers to embed advertising on applications designed for children. If the developer wants to charge additional money to offset development costs, it should be rolled into the price of the application. I gave the application 2 stars because it seems like it would be fun for kids. If it were me, I would not purchase this application — look for another one that does not expose your child to pointless advertising and subscription costs.

The developers really thought about how kids conceptualize time and the movement of both the sun and the hands of a clock. Then, it explicitly makes the connection for kids! No more guesswork for the kids, because they can get a why for how the analog clock works.

Small hand needs accuracy

Good quiz function, but the small hand is often in the wrong place because it always points to a number. For 3:45, the clock is closer to 2:45 in reality. More accuracy would be great.
