cmarks is a read-only Markdown reader for macOS. Open a folder as a workspace, keep documents in tabs and splits, and read them exactly as GitHub renders them.
• Renders like GitHub: GitHub's own Markdown engine (cmark-gfm) and stylesheet. Tables, task lists, alerts, footnotes, syntax highlighting, emoji, math (KaTeX), Mermaid diagrams, light and dark. • Workspaces, tabs and splits: a folder is a workspace. Open documents in tabs, split right or down, zoom a pane, and come back to the same layout. Multiple windows. • Live reload: when another app saves the file, only the changed blocks update and your scroll position stays. • Sidebar: file tree, document outline, Quick Open (⌘P) and Find in Workspace (⌘⇧F). • Quick Look: press Space on a Markdown file in the Finder and see it rendered the same way. • Reading tools: find, back and forward, zoom, print, export as PDF, custom CSS, remappable shortcuts. • Never edits your files. cmarks only reads.
cmarks is open source (MIT). Feedback and bug reports: github.com/yuchanghyun/cmarks
