Description

Color Identifier app helps you to detect the color of any pixel on the photo or image. Just upload the image into the app, zoom it and scroll to the color you are interested in. The app shows colors in RGB, CMYK and HEX and also the names of colors.
You can save the colors into the app and find them on the History page.

In this update, we’ve made two key improvements. First, we introduced a slight redesign of the main screen to make navigation more intuitive and pleasant.

Second, we’ve added a new camera mode option designed to support users with color vision deficiencies. When opening the camera, all users can now choose between the standard mode or an accessibility mode. In the accessibility mode, unnecessary color codes and details are removed, and users can place visual markers on objects — these markers remain visible in augmented reality while using the camera. This new feature aims to make the app more inclusive and helpful for everyone.

Great app

I have been trying to find a specific color for almost a year ( I gave up during some of it) but it took forever I downloaded this app and it was a quick fix and it’s free I don’t mind the ads especially if they don’t pop up often.

Absolutely money grab garbage

The “free” version gives wrong info. For example RGB number value for red of 260. RGB only goes to 255. And Hex codes are 7 characters. When hex is only 6. You’d think you can just leave off maybe the first or last number. But the color is completely off.

Then, there’s a series of ads on the “free” version it about 7 pop ups and hidden Xs to exit.

I was considering buying after seeing if the free version showed me what the paid version could do, but the user experience and inaccuracy of the free version is so bad I’m just deleting this app and going out of my way to write a review so people stay away as well.

We’re really sorry to hear about your experience. We’ve carefully reviewed the app’s color detection and weren’t able to reproduce any values exceeding the standard RGB (0–255) or HEX (6 characters). Where are the Pantone entries?

App’s screenshots SPECIFICALLY shows Pantone swatch data along with the usual RGB/CMYK/Hex data. But download app, agree to the subscription, and not only does it bug you with a pop up “How can we make this better?” before you’ve been allowed to even DO anything, but once you get the image or snapshot up to scan for colors, it gives you the usual data…but NO PANTONE ANYWHERE and no way that I can find anywhere to get that info. DON’T SHOW SOMETHING IN THE PREVIEW SCREENSHOTS THAT YOUR APP DOESN’T ACTUALLY OFFER. Just for that alone, one star and I immediately deleted app/canceled before I could get charged for this waste of time.

Thanks for your attention and feedback, I've fixed the screenshots to avoid misleading. In fact I'm working on integration of Pantone colors into the app so I hope it will be available soon.
