Your Trello boards, one keystroke away. Drag cards, tick checklists, comment, and filter from the menu bar — no browser tab needed. Free. Columnar puts your Trello boards in the Mac menu bar. Press ⌃⌥T (or click the icon) and your board is right there — lists as kanban columns, cards you can drag, checklists you can tick — then it gets out of the way. It's for people who live in Trello but don't want to live in a browser tab: check what's due, move a card to Done, drop a quick comment, and get back to work. BOARDS AT A GLANCE • Every open board, grouped as Starred, Recent, and by workspace • Search boards instantly — and Columnar reopens the board you had open last • Starred boards right in the menu bar icon's menu KANBAN VIEW • Lists as columns, with card counts • Drag cards within and between lists, or use "Move to…" for lists that are out of reach • Reorder lists by dragging their headers • Card fronts show Trello's own label colours, covers, due dates, members, and badges for descriptions, attachments, comments, and checklist progress • Filter by name, or by chips: assigned to me, overdue, label, member • Undo an archive or move with ⌘Z EDIT CARDS WITHOUT LEAVING • Title, description, due date, list, labels, and members • Checklists: add, rename, tick, and delete items • Comments with emoji reactions • Attach links, or upload files straight from the Finder MADE FOR THE MENU BAR • Global hotkey ⌃⌥T shows and hides the window from any app — just start typing to search • Compact or wide layout, resizable height, remembered between launches • Esc cancels what you're editing before it closes the window • Shows the last data it loaded instantly, then refreshes • Launch at login PRIVATE BY DESIGN Columnar talks only to Trello, using your own account. There are no analytics, no tracking, and no servers of ours in between. Your Trello token is kept in the macOS Keychain and can be revoked at any time from your Trello account settings. GOOD TO KNOW Columnar is a fast window onto your boards, lists, and cards — not a replacement for Trello. Trello's native Custom Fields are supported where your Trello plan includes them, but other Power-Ups aren't shown (Calendar, and third-party integrations), and neither are Trello's Timeline, Table, and Dashboard views. Everything you change in Columnar syncs to Trello immediately, so your Butler automations keep running. Requires a free or paid Trello account.
