Compost Mortem is a fast, real-time arena shooter played from the side, starring the tiny, cocky creatures of the compost heap. The dirt is yours to blow up.
DIG. SWING. OUTPLAY.
• Every map is procedurally generated earth you can tunnel through, blast apart and build up again.
• Throw your ninja rope, swing across the battlefield and drop in where nobody expects you.
• Grab crates for new weapons, health and power-ups in the middle of a fight.
• Earn XP during a match, level up and choose upgrades: faster reloads, a longer rope, quicker digging and more.
EIGHT CREATURES, EIGHT ABILITIES
Earthworm, Snail, Ant, Spider, Dung Beetle, Wasp, Moth and Mantis each fight their own way. Shed poison and heal up, hide in a shell and turn the hits you took into a counterblast, send in an ant squad, cast a hunting web, launch a charged dung ball, sting with venom, vanish in a cloud of wing dust, or strike twice with razor arms.
A COMPOST-SIZED ARSENAL
28 weapons and tools: bazooka, shotgun, grenades, minigun, flamethrower, homing missile, railgun, sticky bomb, mortar, proximity mine, slime gun, jetpack, teleporter, a trap crate that looks just like the real thing and more, up to a very rare nuke. 11 power-ups such as Shield, Cloak, Berserk ×4, Ricochet, Triple shot and Vampire.
PLAY YOUR WAY
• Solo against 1–7 bots on five levels, from Beginner to Expert. No internet needed.
• Play with friends: up to 8 players and bots on your local network, everyone on their own iPhone or iPad. Nearby devices find each other on the same Wi-Fi or connect directly, peer to peer.
• Six kinds of match: Free for all, Team battle, King of the Hill, Domination, Last Worm Standing (a rising flood and a few lives each) and Night raid, where only torches, muzzle flashes and explosions light the dark.
• An eight-lesson tutorial teaches you to move, dig, swing and fight, and ends with a duel.
• Four landscapes – meadow, desert, ice and volcano – at any time of day, even by the host's own clock.
• Touch controls and game controllers, or a keyboard with remappable keys and a mouse on iPad.
FREE TO PLAY, ONE PURCHASE FOR EVERYTHING
The game is free with three creatures, six weapons, two power-ups and every mode. One in-app purchase, the Full Game, adds 5 creatures, 22 weapons and tools and 9 power-ups on iPhone and iPad, and can be shared with your family.
Fair by design: a match always has what every player in it owns, so nobody brings anything the others can't have.
