Compound Interest Calculator (aka FIRE Calculator) is a tool to help you calculate and plan out your investment so that you may achieve Financial Independence and Retire Early. It is never too late to start snowballing your money.

But what is Compound Interest? Compound interest is the interest you earn on interest. It is the result of reinvesting interest, rather than paying it out, so that interest in the next period is then earned on the principal sum plus previously accumulated interest.

For example, if you put $50 in your savings account every month, and this savings yields 10% annually. After 30 years, you will have invested $18,000. How much money do you think you will get? $30,000? $50,000? Nope! You will end up with a huge sum of $113,024 (more than 6 times the amount you had put down).

Very easy to use

This is a really good interest calculator. If the developer would allow months and not just years for investment length (or accept decimal year values such as 1.25, 1.5 and 1.75 years, etc.), it would be very tough to beat this free app. Thanks for your hard work.

Great App!

I attempted to create this feature in excel but then search for an app that would do the same. Found it. It’s super user friendly and gives you the option to select how often you contribute and how often the interest compounds. This app thought of every scenario I could throw at it to calaculate my compound interest based on how I contribute.

Works great but could use one major thing

I almost love this app. I use it everyday on my iPad at work. I just really wish it would work in landscape mode. Currently the app only works if the device is vertical. It would be incredible if it would work horizontal as well. I hope the developers can see this review and possibly do something about it. I would change this immediately to 5 stars
