Know in seconds: is it you, your network, or the site? DNS, ping, ports, traceroute — now with a Path MTU tester. No account, no tracking, all on-device.
Are you Connected? This app finally gives you the answer, fast. A clean interface shows how responsive your network is and how to fix connection problems, with advanced diagnostic tools for the technically inclined. Everything runs on your device: no account, no ads, no tracking.
The tools:
• Ping - Measure packet loss and response time in real time, with Live Activity support
• DNS - Test and compare your DNS against well-known providers to see if you should switch
• Advanced LAN scanner - Find out which devices are on your network, and which ports they have open
• Port scanner - Check the open ports on a host to confirm everything is the way you want it
• Path MTU - Find the largest packet size your network lets through without fragmenting it
• Subnet calculator - Calculates the network address, broadcast and number of hosts. (Yes, because I can never remember it myself.)
• Traceroute - See the route your packets take to the target
• Reverse DNS - Look up PTR records
• Status for Wi-Fi, cellular, VPN and Personal Hotspot - including the data sent and received while your hotspot is active
The app also lets you know when a VPN or tunnel is active, or when a hotel or café sign-in page might affect your results.
I built Connected? because I was tired of connecting to hotel Wi-Fi, or seeing a full 5G icon in the corner, and still not getting a single website to load. Is the site down, is it the app, or am I simply offline? Now you don't have to wonder: Connected? gives you the answer almost instantly.
Privacy is the foundation:
• No account, no ads, no analytics SDK, no third-party crash reporter.
• Nothing goes to the developer. The diagnostics send packets only to the targets and DNS servers you choose.
• Location access is used only to read the Wi-Fi name (SSID), never to track where you are.
• A one-time purchase. No subscription. No in-app purchases.
Ratings & Reviews
This app hasn’t received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.
New: Path MTU test. Find the largest packet size your network path lets through without fragmenting.
Also new in 1.2:
• Offline host history. The LAN scanner now remembers devices it has seen before. Open a host that's offline right now and start "ping to answer" — the app watches for it and tells you the moment it returns, then continues into a live response-time monitor.
• More reliable LAN scanning.
• Settings. A new Settings sheet gathers appearance, ping defaults, start-in-details, and haptics in one place — and it's where you now share a diagnostic report.
• Fixed a bug where you could only tap part of the button in the diagnostics tab. Thanks to Rittmester for flagging it!
• Minor stability improvements.
