ConsoScan is an independent app. It is not affiliated with, and does not represent, any government body (DGAL, DGCCRF, INSEE, INAO or EFSA). It reuses their open data; the sources are listed at the end of this description and on the app's "About" page.
WHO REALLY MAKES YOUR FOOD?
Scan the oval health mark on a product (meat, fish, dairy, ready meals…) or its barcode: ConsoScan identifies the manufacturing site, even behind a store brand.

Check whether a product has been recalled, and browse a company's current and past recalls.

WHAT'S NEW
- Recall alerts: get notified when a product recall matters to you (your own keywords such as a brand or product type, allergens, baby products). Each alert is sent only once.
- Allergens: exclude products containing one or more allergens from your search results.
- Clearer recall warnings: recent recalls are highlighted (red for under 6 months, yellow for 6 to 12 months) on company pages and in product lists.
- Additives: new EFSA assessment (risk of overexposure, acceptable daily intake, groups concerned) with a link to the official opinion. Names are now shown for all additives.
- Eco-Score: improved display.
