Great features to keep business running smoothly

This app has a lot of features to help with many facets of running a construction business. We are a very small company and there are many features I don’t use, but we rely on many of them. They are also constantly making updates and adding and improving features. While there have been some bugs, they have great customer support and a place to add suggestions. I used another builder app in the past that was much more expensive. This has been a great cost-saving alternative!

Contractor Foreman is the best! We mainly focus on the estimating and project management aspects, but also love the directory. For estimating, they offer automatic bid invites we can create and send to our subcontractors. Then our subs have the opportunity to send back a lump sum number, or a number based on the schedule of values. Contractor Foreman then automatically updates the estimate with their number/s when we accept their bid. It makes estimating a breeze! Also, as someone who manages the project documentation, compliance, insurance, bookkeeping, and all other office tasks, I LOVE the fact that it connects to quickbooks. Any project bills I upload to contractor foreman gets sent over to quickbooks online instantly! All estimates....sent to QB. All customer invoices....sent to QB. Anything involving bookkeeping and financials that I input into Contractor Foreman, gets synced to QB. Along with the directory and other things. If you have quickbooks and are looking into a project management system, GO TO CONTRACTOR FOREMAN! Best bang for your buck. It does everything almost all other project management software does, but for 1/4 of the price!

Does not work as promised

I have been using time keeping apps for 8 years. I got this system because it does job management as well. It has issues though. I missed payroll three weeks in a row, because I couldn’t invoice customers based on time. I reached out to live chat every week, NOT ONCE DID THEY HELP ME GET MY TIME CARDS RIGHT. I would save info, only to have it revert back. When I type in the correct date, it would revert to previous numbers. I was forced to use my old system. I decided to keep the system and use the management software. I have 4.6 million in jobs loaded in the schedule. I load all jobs and dates correctly, and they come jumbled in the GANT chart. I click and drag and straightened it out, only to have it revert on the save. I reach out to live chat, and I can’t believe how unbelievably unhelpful they are. All I get it is , please wait. Or they have absolutely no idea what I am talking about. Been waiting for 30 minutes with no response back. Just awful. And no they will not refund. Even if nothing works as it should. Even if live chat has not solved a single issue.

I do apologize that we let you down with our chat support. We try to provide excellent support at all times but sometimes issues are hard to assist with due to the way they are being explained to us. That's why we asked if we could book a training to talk about it in a meeting. The time changes were not being retained because you were not saving them. The time card module is the most used module and never do we hear complaints like the one you shared. In Contractor Foreman, if a change is made, you have to click Save.By Design, the Gantt chart sorts items based on date. When we looked at this, you were trying to get items to appear in an order that Gantt systems do not allow. We worked with you to help get the file cleaned up and get the items in the proper order.

Contractor Foreman has been the best management software we have used. The implementation is quick and easy. It’s very used friendly; I was afraid my elderly staff would have trouble learning and keeping up with it, but it’s just such an easy software to use. It’s so versatile and checks all the bows for this construction company. It keeps us on tracks for our goals. All staff can log in and see the exact maturity of a project and any given time from anywhere. We have been able to discontinue our other safety program and hold group safety meetings which a lot of our contracts require. Contractor Foreman is not just a great platform, we believe it is the best for your money and all that it offers.
