Very Awesome Dev Team
I stumbled into this app on Reddit, someone had suggested it and I said what a cool idea. At the time there were only four languages supported on the app. I messaged and said “what a bummer, I wish the app offered Greek”. Well, sure enough, I think the owner (or one of the developers) responded and said I’ll let you know when we get there. To me, in typical app fashion, I just dismissed this, but was thankful I was at least acknowledged. Further, I’ll let you know when we get there usually means, see you in a few years. Sure enough, three days later, I get an email saying someone responded to your Reddit post, (since I post often I wasn’t thinking of what it could be) low and behold Greek is now inside the app. Just for this alone, I recommend using the app!
Great for practice
I put it in in the car when I drive to work and have the most hilarious conversations with this bot 😂 but I also learn a lot. I’m learning Spanish for my coworkers and I showed them the app and now they’re using it for English
App cuts me off when speaking.
I’m currently using this app as a beginner-intermediate Spanish speaker. Although I like the concept of being able to communicate with an Ai in order to have conversations in Spanish, as a beginner in Spanish, I find it hard to come up with words in certain situation and end up getting cut of by the AI whenever I take to long responding. Would recommend it if you have a strong vocabulary (B1-B2) in the languages the app provides but for me who is A2-B1 I don’t find this app as helpful for me.
