CoolLED1248 4+

I appreciate what this app can do. What it does, it does well. I also appreciate the developer’s response to suggestions others have made. May I pass along a couple of things that would improve this app greatly? (1) Would it be possible to combine several short messages into one longer message? (2) Would it be possible to highlight text to change color rather than tapping each box separately? (3) Along those lines, it would be nice if the Apple Pencil would work with the selection. (4) I nearly always use my iPad in landscape mode with a keyboard, but this will not rotate into that position. (5) Could longer messages be allowed? (I know this may be a hardware limitation.)

This app is responsive and works great with the attached revised… Just a few more polishing upgrades, and this will turn into four or five stars. Recommendations: -needs much better emoji support or a emoji keyboard of device-supported icons, -device firmware upgrade capability in app, -ability to schedule a playlist of various items looping, -auto scroll speed recommendations based on text length, -ability to manual edit or delete blocks before upload, -pattern/graffiti store for uploading new custom made designs, -ability to upload a gif or graphic of your own design, -a bar at the top of the app showing exactly what’s scrolling on the led pixel screen.

I use CoolLED1248 while driving. My default message is ⚠️Caution ⚠️ Old man driving. I’m not in any rush.

Prior to using Apple’s Coice Control I would simply turn on my LED Sign with my default message already loaded. I tried changing messages while driving by touch my iPhone screen but that creates an unsafe driving problem.

So, after searching around, I found that my iPhone’s Voice Control provides a free, easy to use, hands-free driving capability to safely change over to my other messages.

How??
1. Activate Voice Control
2. Wake up Voice Control
3. Activate CoolLED1248 and search for device
4. Go to Text messages
5. Say “Show Numbers”
6. Say “Press # (for example: Press 11)
7. To change message, repeat step 5 & 6
8. When done, tell Voice Control to “Go to sleep)

I use CoolLED1248 whenever I drive. Tailgaters usually appreciate my default message and immediately back off my bumper.

If you use CoolLED1248 like I do then I highly recommend polite messages or non offensive humorous content. Drive smart, Drive safe.
