Countdown Keeper
Days until & since any event
Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
How long since your birth, your wedding, your graduation, your first day at work? How long until retirement? Live counters for the dates that matter, Hijri & Gregorian.
Countdown answers one simple question: how long has it been since an important date in your life — or how long until it comes?
Save the dates that shaped your story — your date of birth, your first child's birth, your wedding, your graduation, moving into your home, your first day at work — and Countdown tells you exactly how long it has been, in years, months and days, on a live counter that updates every second. For dates still ahead — your retirement, the end of your home loan, a contract's end — it shows exactly how long is left. No sign-up and no clutter: you open the app and see your counters.
Every date flips from "how long until" to "how long since" on its own the moment it arrives, so your timeline stays honest without you touching a thing.
Countdown speaks both calendars. Count any date in Gregorian or in the Hijri (Umm al-Qura) calendar, and choose the right calendar for each date individually. Have a date in the other calendar? Convert it in the Date converter and save it straight away — no need to switch the app's calendar.
• See how long since an important date, or how long until one ahead
• Live counters that update every second
• Choose exactly which units to show — years, months, days, hours, minutes, seconds
• Both calendars: Gregorian and Hijri (Umm al-Qura), per date
• Event Story: write the story behind any date and reveal it below its card with a tap
• Monthly recurring dates like salary and rent, rolling forward automatically
• Reminders before a date — at the time, a day before, or a week before
• Repeat a reminder after 5 or 10 minutes, with "Remind again" from the reminder history
• Give each date an emoji icon or your own photo, and pick a card colour
• Several card styles, and pin your most important dates to the home screen
• Built-in date tools: Hijri ↔ Gregorian converter, age calculator, date difference, add & subtract days, and a retirement estimator
• Encrypted backup of all your data, restored whenever you need
• Export and import your dates as a JSON file
• Optional app lock with fingerprint or Face ID
• 18 languages: English, Arabic, German, French, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, Turkish, Indonesian, Malay, Chinese, Portuguese, Italian, Russian, Dutch, Urdu, Bengali and Hindi — with full right-to-left support for Arabic and Urdu
Countdown is more than a reminder app. It is a calm, living timeline of the dates that shaped your story — and the ones still ahead.
Instead of counting the years in your head or digging through old papers, keep every important date in one simple place and always know, at a glance, how long it has been and how long is left.
