Finally, an email service that's built around your privacy. Get your email address and see what it's like to have peace of mind and privacy in every email you send.

+End-to-end Encryption: Criptext uses the open source Signal Protocol library to encrypt your emails. Your emails are locked with a unique key that‘s generated and stored on your device alone, which means only you and your intended recipient can read the emails you send.

+No data collection: unlike every other email service out there, Criptext doesn't store your emails in its servers. Instead, your entire inbox is stored exclusively on your device.

+Open Source: our source code is open for everyone to see that Criptext actually works the way it's advertised. You don't have to trust us, you can verify for yourself:

+Easy to use: our app is designed to work as simple as any other email app — so much so, you'll forget how secure it is.

Get Criptext and see how easy it is to email with more security and privacy!

the potential to be more

I have been having issues with encountering an app that serves its purpose with privacy, security, email, employment and life management, schedule, journaling, note taking and much more. I came across this app and gave it a try and sure enough I am very pleased with what it has to offer and its simplicity design. Only reason I give it 3 stars is the fact that it lacks iPad version. Here are some features I hope to see if iPad version is ever developed; drag and drop, 3D Touch, Calendar, tasks, to-do, notes, send email later option (time, date, reminder, approval), aliases, iMessage app access to attachments, Apple Smart Keyboard support, landscape/horizontal layout, full customization actions, handoff, templates, integration to other end-to-end apps (Tresorit, Standard Notes, Telegram and Signal). Maybe incorporating interaction with Apple Files app to create and store folders/files on local device. I can’t wait to see it in the next update. Please take this positive feedback and suggestions with intentions on expanding and improving its functionality to your clients daily life. This app has major potential to become a top notch and competitor to other end-to-end encryption apps. Thanks and keep it up the great work!

Not the best for privacy and security

The good: User interface is great. It really does make email feel like a messaging app for the most part. Emails between Criptext users are end to end encrypted.

The bad: Requires providing personal information, namely an existing email address, in order to register for a new Criptext email account. Existing Criptext users must now provide an alternate email address before they can send emails. Can’t send end to end encrypted emails to non-Criptext email addresses.

Not the best when it comes to privacy and security. If you want free email that doesn’t ask for any personal information and let’s you send end to end encrypted emails to any email address, take a look at ProtonMail or Tutanota instead.
