Description

Crossgrams is a new kind of word puzzle which mixes anagrams with crosswords (and has a pinch of Sudoku). It's simple, challenging, and extremely addictive. To unscramble each puzzle, just drag letters left and right (never up or down), but watch out: it's not as easy as it seems! Each letter you solve and pin in place is a new clue for the surrounding words. Puzzles range from bite-sized fun to brain-busters you can spend a whole afternoon chipping away at, just like a weekend crossword puzzle.

About in-app purchases:
Crossgrams is free, and contains no ads. It comes with two free sample puzzle packs, and a daily puzzle which is always free. Purchases come in the form of additional larger puzzle packs (plus one for color themes). After careful consideration, our small indie team simply didn't want to make a game filled with ads and distractions. We hope you'll enjoy Crossgrams enough to purchase some packs so we can afford to add more puzzles, and that you'll help us spread the word about the game!

Excellent

A great puzzle game. Interesting puzzles presented with a clean and elegant user interface and no visual clutter. The developer is very generous with free content so if you have any interest at all you should try it.

There are no ads and no gimmicks. If you purchase a puzzle pack you immediately can play all puzzles (no having to play some to unlock others). Hints are free and there are no timers or other distractions.

My only minor complaint is a few misspellings or at least overly obscure words and no way to report errors except twitter (no way). But these are a minor irritant in a very polished, fun and generous app.

Love Crossgrams!

Tried a few other crosswords & didn't like all the "juvenile" stuff with them. This has a clean, uncluttered interface & is user-friendly. I wish the developer would UPDATE & add more NEW challenge packs for those of us who play everyday. Really good for keeping mind sharp! 😉

Been playing this one every morning, and am on a 90-day streak. I actually look forward to it. No ads or pressure.
Am curious tho about how the hints are tallied. Sometimes I don't use any, but it says I’ve used 6 or 8.
