Yodel dodel
it’s a very nice game, it’s slow and methodical throughout so it doesn’t ever really feel monotonousthere are some bits i don’t like or don’t understand, but all the complex parts of this game are near completely optional and don’t take anything out of the experience no ads is real, iap are completely optional, a true example of how indie games can excel at sincere and wholly pleasant user experience

Decent game but lacking in player information

I enjoyed the few hours I played of it, but I found myself very frustrated trying to figure out the pet system, what they did, and how to even use them. Maybe I’m just stupid and couldn’t find the info anywhere in game, in which case I’ll more than happily change my review. Having a new mechanic unlocked with no explanation of said mechanic lead to me losing interest pretty rapidly since I couldn’t figure out what I was supposed to do apart from hit the fight button and use my crops feeding it.The basic gameplay loop of planting and harvesting was satisfying, I just wish the game made it easier to understand what the whole deal with the pets was

hey, thanks for the feedback! it's a constant balance between too many words (that people skip over) or not enough and making it confusing. just wanted to check if you saw the "?" icon in the top right of the farm screens? this has a bunch of hints and extra explanations. there is also a journal in the top left of the gooster screen that gives more information on your gooster progress and bosses. if you're still confused the "?" icon also has a link to our discord where there are many helpful folks happy to answer any of your questions, which also helps highlight which areas need more clarity. if you don't have discord feel free to shoot me an email so I can understand which specific new gooster mechanic is causing confusion and try to fix it! thanks again!
Decent game but lacking in player information

Needs a lot of work in every aspect

While the concept is interesting, progression is an absolute nightmare. Goosters are essentially a coin flip when it comes to exploration. Mine is at level 9 and I’d say it has about a 55% chance of beating a level 4 enemy with much lower stats than mine. It takes FOREVER to gain resources that disappear in an instant, and a 7 hour wait for the third level is far too long. I got to level 3 in about 2 hours and when I saw the waiting time I stopped playing for a while because I stopped caring. There isn’t enough information about exactly what’s going on statistics-wise so it constantly feels like the game is hiding crucial knowledge from me. Pretty much every mechanic here needs a ton of work.

thanks for playing! this game requires patience, it's meant to be played over a long period of time with the 7 hour grow cycles. set it before you go to bed and check it the next day, there's no rush. as you prestige you'll have plenty of resources to keep your hungry goosters full. regarding the statistics, the stats for the gooster battles are explained exactly if you visit the "?" next to the stats on a gooster. the other statistics/randomness is with the crops at layer 3 which is explained in game as equal chance for each (33% each) at rank 1, and you get an additional stat point to control that distribution with each prestige. if you have any other questions please join us on reddit or discord and I would be happy to answer them! thanks again!

This games might be good enough for a CS student’s college assignment but nothing much beyond that. It seriously lacks content and depth. The growing mechanism is perversely grindy even for an incremental game, with no clear reward that follows — only cycles that gets more grindy with each prestige. The battle system is basically a dice throw with no player involvement. And graphics is basically nonexistent (which can be appealing in its own way, but that doesn’t change the fact that there was minimal effort spent on designing the UI). The poor design and lack of content is only somewhat redeemed by its genre, which is inherently addictive, but for all the self-promotion that the developer has been doing, this game turned out to be a huge disappointment for me.
