Gets it about half right
The app is only good for basic camera adjustments (video / light / other settings). They removed record button and you can’t control both front and rear camera together. You have to set up one, close app and open app to set up second. The startup process for recording is also different for each camera. Also, it’s good to wake camera w the app to synchronize the time for each or the clocks might be off for integration to Strava. If you figure all that out you’re good to go. I’m rooting for them but much work ahead to sort this out for a good user experience.
Once running, footage is good. Don’t get me started on the Strava Integration lol - let’s hope they can afford additional resources to get these basic functions working properly. I give them a C for effort but please fix it and your sales will improve. I know quite a few riders who gave up on their Fly cameras because they are hard to use w the app.
Worst service and support of any bicycling product I’ve ever bought
I would love to like this product and company as they seem to be the only option for a combo light/camera. sadly, the service and support is the worst I’ve ever encountered for cycling products and close to the bottom for every service experience I’ve ever had. Support materials describing how to do various normal functions are either baffling, missing, or flat wrong. That might be tolerable if I could get meaningful support through a company, communications channel, but the support people I’ve spoken to there have preferred to spend their time telling me why I’m wrong, and then offering to do nothing. The shoulder shrugging a difference I get is unbelievable, It doesn’t help that they’re located in Australia and have a 12 hour time difference with the US. I’m fine with dealing with credible
that aren’t located here but in most cases companies make some arrangement to be more responsive. This is particularly weird as I would imagine the US is a top market for them. So as I started with, I would love to say these guys do a great job, and I’m delighted with her products and their support, but they’ve got a long journey ahead to get to that.
Constant SD card issues
I’ve had this product for two years. Right now it’s a light for the back of my bicycle. The card hasn’t recordered in weeks. The only reason I discovered this is because I’m now monitoring the battery life. The unit isn’t recognized by my computer at all yet somehow a software update was installed? How is this possible? This should be plug and play with updates, recording and support. This is my 2nd unit as the first one was replaced under warranty and I’m having the same issues. Do better for the price you are charging for this.
