A good deal in the long run, but...

I love how this app has no obtrusive ads. The clean design, the seamless integration, they are all just done so well! It really shows the app developer truly cares about the user experience. Keep up the great work! The one-time payment pays off because you are no longer forced to use the brower version of SoundCloud that is filled with ads and hogs memory.

However, the fact that this is only avaliable for the Mac is limiting. I've been gravitating towards replacing my MacBook Air with my iPad Pro for school, so this hook certainly isn't helping. I would really appreciate it if a similar iPad app was ported over so I can enjoy it at places without a MacBook. I even bought the Watch app and it almost became an inconvienience. It constantly gets repaired to another device that isn't even playing audio and often glitches (buttons not working, slow connection, often need to force restart the app, etc.) so it isn't much better. At this point, I am forced to choose between a flawless non-mobile desktop version and an extremely mobile iteration riddled with bugs and complications. A middle ground, via iOS or iPadOS, would be ideal for solving these issues, but that is just my suggestion.

I was pretty satisfied at first.

I may have not read far enough into what the app is supposed to be but as far as I know, they don't tell you that you need to pay for Premium in order to listen to music. I opened up the app for the first time and clicked play on a track, paused it for a few minutes, came back and upon trying to resume the track, it says "buy premium for $8.99" I'm sorry but I don't think I read that this application costs money to operate. Literally no song can be played due to the subscription prompt. I like what the app did, but I don't think it's worth 8 dollars. Very well done. But I already pay for a soundcloud subscription, I am not paying additional money for a product I already pay monthly for. Thanks, and have a good day. Giving it 4 stars for quality, 5 stars if it was free to enjoy.

THE Soundcloud desktop app to use, with room for improvement

After having thoroughly gone through the ins and outs of this app, I'm going to go ahead and rate it a whole 5 to support and thank Dennis for building an incredibly well-coded back-end that manages memory better than ANY OTHER PLAYER for soundcould out there... and a feature-rich, sleek interface too. This is it. That said, I don't use it, and instead still play my tracks from a web browser tab. Why? The auto-queue of Liked tracks doesn't shuffle or add any new tracks beyond those displayed. I emailed Dennis and didn't get a reply. I think he's inundated, but it was enough for me to hold off on paying for the app until this feature has at least the same ability to randomize tracks as the website.
