Daily Journal - Note Log Diary 4+

Love the simple UI. Very minimalist and intuitive. App does journal entries and search very well, just what it says it does. Incredibly useful and really helps keep one organized and quickly refresh of small details throughout the week. The way the “main page” is a historical tree view of every year kinda feels like unused “home screen” space but I don’t know how you could fill it with something that doesn’t look like its just there to take ip space. Love the app and its just what I needed. Literally gonna use it every day now. Im probably not being creative enough with the possibilities of app but for I need it, it can’t be beat.

Agreed that the Journal home view could be made a bit smarter. I’ll strive to continue polishing that and other parts of the app with regular updates.

I’ve been using this app in a non-typical way. I enter a T, F or B each time I have a thought, feeling or behavior related to my addiction recovery. Then I can see in the trends how my progress is looking over time. I’d really love the ability to select my own date range in the trends view. And be able to compare weeks/months in the trends. Cool app though, thanks!

I really liked both the sleep tracker and the mood tracker. It’s a shame that I have to pay a subscription to be able to get rid of all of the ads. I was doing just fine with the both of them on my phone until I got the upgrade that made it be where I have to buy a subscription to make the ads go away. All I want is for the developer to get rid of the subscriptions so that I can re-download both this one and the other one. Once that is done I would be a lot happier to bring them back. So people if you see this do not download if you want to pay one dollar a month or $10 a year.

The base product is entirely free for everyone to use. After you save 10 records a slim banner (text-only) displays at the top. This has been designed to still look good and blend in with the app's design - therefore for those unable to pay, the app remains perfectly usable.

The paid option is there as an option, and removes ads. The free version remains with full functionality, and shows ads. In either case, revenue generated funds maintenance and further development of new features.
