I just moved here to Dallas, TX. I don’t know my way around big city operations, let alone how to operate trash and recycling bins. The size of the bins. The instructions. The schedule notifications. It’s all incredible and useful information. I have been gleefully schooled by the City of Dallas Sanitation Services. The most exhilarating facet of this app and it’s info is the bulk trash pickup. I made a pile, to the specs required and by the noted dates in the app. So many good instructions. But the best part of my new knowledge about bulk trash pickup is when I got to witness the giant dinosaur scooper scoop up a pile of my yard and fence refuse that took me hours to amass. An astonishing pile of garbage gone in one scoop! I may have cried a little. I have watched the video more than once. Amazing. I recommend this app. Excellent information. Good for your house and sanity. Knowledge is power.

I just recently downloaded the app and it works perfectly fine for me and it is very easy to use and it has helped me to know exactly which day to pull my trash bin and recycling bin out at the end of the driveway and my brush to know exactly when to have it out by I don’t have to worry about what Day is going to be the pick up day this app has been extremely helpful and exceptional services. Go City of Dallas I wish it was that easy to get a building.

Favorite feature is the info the app provides on recycling, especially the search tool when you don’t know whether an item is recyclable or where it should be disposed of properly. Well intentioned “recyclers” often do more harm then good by throwing soiled or un-recyclable items into recycle bins. App is simple, functions well and is helpful for trash pickup, bulk trash pickup and hazardous waste locations, too. Way to go, Dallas!

Regarding the critical reviews I saw -

I think the bulk trash reminder is for the week of pickup and not the exact day; probably because of the unknown variable amount of trash the crews are picking up each cycle, hard to predict a day.

Recycle “Ben” is not a misspelling for bin; it is their pretend character to help with recycling education, like Smokey the Bear! Only you can save the planet, people!! ;)
