Description

The iOS Darklab app unlocks a whole new world of control for artists everywhere using Bluetooth technology.

Toggle your device’s power, adjust its voltage, unlock eGive and update firmware – wirelessly, from one place.
Enable any direct drive machine with eGive using FK Irons’ Power Solutions. Plus, keep your devices’ firmware up to date through the iOS Darklab app. With wireless control of FK Irons and Darklab devices, we give artists maximum control.

The latest version of this app is not backwards compatible. All users must update both the Darklab iOS app to Version 1.13, and their device’s current Firmware update for better functionality, and to continue utilizing Bluetooth® connectivity and in-app controls.

Proudly designed and developed by the FK Irons team in the USA, the latest upgrade is a breakthrough for artists across the globe.

It’s fine.

It’s fine I guess. For the price it isn’t worth it until they make it more reliable and add a timer to the app. I don’t use mine any longer because other cheaper batteries have better usable features.

Worked for a couple weeks and now it won’t connect

When the app did work it was amazing. I could easily change give with the egive function and go from line work to shading without changing my machines.
Since the last firmware update neither of my lightning bolt battery packs will connect to the app and the Bluetooth won’t shut off. With Bluetooth on the battery charge dies much quicker.
I’ve reached out to the company many times about this issue (both Darklab and fk irons) and the only response that I have received is “the issue should be fixed in a week or two”. That was 4 months ago.
I like the products this company makes but it also feels like their tech department likes to make flashy videos more than working software.

Batteries die constantly after Bluetooth connect

My Flux batteries used to last a day or two without charging, once updated and trying to use the app they now die very quickly, like 4 to 6 hours of use. The app has never functioned properly for me. I’m planning to call FK and see if there is a way to turn the Bluetooth off completely. I miss the way the machine used to work.
