Let me begin by saying I have never been the conventional dating app user. It makes me cringe(still does). It feels like a store of people trying to sell themselves easily to just get laid or get approval. I honestly hate hearing my friends talk about guys and girls that talk way too much about the wrong things when it comes to starting a relationship. Many dating apps have cute prompts to answer fun facts, but where are the prompts that help you get a sense of what this persons values are like, or maybe what their life is like on a daily? Maroon makes me eager to learn more about a person who might actually share multiple things in common with me. And I GET TO CHOOSE WHO I INVEST MORE TIME INTO instead of being bombarded with 100+ “Hey cutie😉”’s where that and the funny joke their mom laughed at in 6th grade is the most interesting thing about them. Please do yourself a service and really BUILD a relationship using Maroon 🫶🏼.

I really like this dating app—it’s so different from any of the other ones I’ve used before. It honestly feels like Love is Blind in a way. I actually get to learn what someone’s like and how they think before seeing what they look like, and that’s completely changed the way I connect with people. I used to always go for the same type of guy looks wise, but our personalities never matched. Now I’m actually connecting with people who align with who I am. Plus, the questions go way deeper than your typical small talk, so even after matching, there’s real stuff to talk about. I’m definitely sticking with this app and hoping to find my person here—no more endless swiping or surface level dates.

Date Maroon helps to see beyond looks and actually value personality, mutual interests - your photo is visible only after mutual interest, making the whole online dating experience safer, private and more efficient. I downloaded this app on a whim, not expecting much. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that the platform made a huge effort to really gauge me as a person and not just a face. It made me think about myself and my preferences and I am glad that someone on the other side will be able to like me holistically.
