Description

Imagine a day that flows smoothly, a personal assistant by your side, managing your tasks and offering savvy suggestions. Welcome to Day Flow, your new best daily planner, powered by GPT-4!

Day Flow is a game-changing daily planner. Instead of manually typing out your day's plan, just voice your tasks and plans for the day or week, and your schedule is ready in a snap. Just say something like: "Tomorrow dentist at 10AM. Call with Mike at 11 AM and Sophia at 2 PM. Gotta grab flowers for the wife. Daughter's school drop-off at 12PM, pick-up at 6PM. Oh, and find time for 15 minutes meditation." And voila, your assistant will arrange it all, keeping you on track all day.

Dreaming of some downtime with a book but can't find the slot? Simply say: "Find me some time to relax with a book. Got any good non-fiction recommendations?" And just like that, your assistant will propose a suitable time and suggest a few intriguing non-fiction books. But it's not all about books. Whether you need suggestions for training plans, what to make for dinner, which movie to catch tonight, and much more, all at your request.

Think of Day Flow as your pocket-sized, uber-efficient buddy. Beyond the clever assistant, you can create tasks, set up recurring tasks, establish convenient reminders, and categorize tasks. Need to jog your memory about that client meeting? Want a little nudge for your evening yoga? Day Flow is on it!

Here's what you're in for when you install Day Flow:

* An easy-to-use app that simplifies your day with just a few taps.
* An AI-powered personal assistant that not only schedules your tasks but also gives you smart recommendations.
* Calendar and Reminders import to keep all your daily events and tasks in one place.
* An easy task setup for both one-off and recurring tasks.
* Customizable reminders that ensure you never miss anything important.
* Task categories for an efficient overview of your day.
* And more!

Give it a go - we promise, you'll wonder how you ever managed without Day Flow!

Almost 5 starts but still missing some key things

This app is a step in the right direction, but I have two critiques:

1) The app needs to have the ability to interact with the AI component through a text-based system, in addition to the voice-based system. I would like to be able to have a regular GPT text chat experience with the added abilities that the app provides.

2) The AI should not only be able to schedule tasks, but it should also have the ability to break down a task into smaller sub-tasks, similar to how Goblin Tools works. For example, if I type "clean car," the AI should automatically populate sub-tasks such as gathering cleaning materials, removing all items from the car, picking up trash, wiping down surfaces, vacuuming, etc. It should also provide an estimate of how much time each task will take. If this feature already exists and I'm somehow missing it, please let me know. I believe it only give you suggestions for the tasks that are imputed but I do not find that to be a good use of the AI aspect.

Wow, thanks for your suggestions and ideas! We're actually in the midst of finalizing a big update where you'll be able to interact with the assistant in text form, and soon after, we'll introduce the ability for the assistant to break down large tasks into sub-tasks. Your feedback aligns perfectly with our plans, and we're already working on bringing these features to life. Stay tuned for these updates!

Good start

It looks like this is a newer app and there's is some good engagement from the developer so I'll come back to this review and keep the app on my phone for now here in my initial impressions: - AI creates events but doesn't sync them back into your calendar from what I can see. - Once it does this, I'd want to see if it can handle a request to create it for a specific calendar (work, home, personal, family, etc) - For how this app is branded I would consider the above "just expected" - I couldn't see anything in the plus plan that (to my eyes) isn't already possible without it. I'm probably wrong but the point is it wasn't apparent. - after asking it to make an event it gave me a preview of what it was about to do but I was surprised that I couldn't hit the button to talk back to the AI that was right in front of me. My option was to save or not save what it was suggesting. kind of feels like the point is to give users the ability to continuously engage.
Personally, I don't think it's a great product strategy to try to also become a replacement for anyone's existing to do list application. That is also a crowded product landscape that has already been refined pretty well. I would rather this just get the AI right and let me roll my own to do list manager maybe have integration options instead. fine-tuning how the GPT backend integrates with the application flow is an interesting enough problem to solve to merit this applications usefulness.

Developer Response ,

Thanks for the detailed feedback!

We're actively working on improving calendar sync, and your point about specifying which calendar to sync to is well-taken. We'll also enhance the clarity around our plus plan's benefits and ensure better continuous engagement with our AI. While we don't aim to replace existing to-do list apps, we do hope to provide a unique, integrated experience with our AI.

Stay tuned for updates, and we truly appreciate your insights.

Nonstop pop ups trying to upsell

I am deleting this app, because I was not given enough time or the opportunity to check out the app to see if I even like it before being overwhelmed and annoyed by the pop up to try to make me upgrade to the paid version of the app kept interrupting me when I was still working on setting up the basics like daily alarms. The first time it came up, I had only been on the app for about 30 seconds and had only made it past the first step, so I didn’t know anything about the app yet or if I would even like it. I almost deleted the app right then because it made me think I had to pay to use the app until I noticed a small faded X in the corner of my screen. I don’t like companies that use tricky, misleading sales tactics like this app does. I decided I would keep using it because I was really looking forward to using the app to help me become more organized and remember things. Then like 2 minutes later, when I was trying to set up my wake up alarms, it popped up again in a different way and I tried to get it off the screen so I could save my alarms, but it just kept popping back up. That was ridiculous and a complete waste of my valuable time. I didn’t have a chance to even see what features the app has to know if it would be useful to me at all, because I wasn’t able to make it past setting a few basic alarms and I don’t need an app for that.
