I had not come across a RAR file till today and had to google for information on what I needed to open one on my MBP. After reading through a blog post, I decided to come to the App Store and see what was available. I chose Decompressor due the the high number of satisfied Customer ratings, and due to the fact it was FREE. I used it today and found the process simple enough. I only wish it cleanly and easily provided me with a choice of Folders to open up the compressed files. The ‘Options’ button did not really give me many options! That is the only grouse I have on my first use. I will however give the App 5 Stars because it was absolutely simple to use. Thank you Decompressor.

I’ve tried using a number of free to lite RAR file extractors and this one by far is the ABSOLUTE BEST!!! I needed to quickly open an Adboe Premier file that was shared with me via Google Drive from a PC user on my Mac and did so in under 5 min inclusive of the time it took to install the Decompressor app on my computer. The other apps I’ve tried either just didn’t work or took forever to extract files. Needless to say I’ve removed all of those as I have settled on this one. Also the fact that its in the App store gives me the security to know that Developer wise its passed Apple’s test which is good enough for me! Save yourself the headache of other extractors and get the one that actually works. And its free!

i have never left an app review in my life (without the incentive of in-game prizes or cash) but this app deserves it. every decrompressor app i've used has had a limit on file types or how many files you can run through it, but Decompressor is AMAZING! i'm so glad i found this app through a random list on the internet. i'm an avid sims player, and most of the Custom Content comes in ZIP or RAR files. ZIPs can be done without this app, but you can set the settings to delete the ZIP file after opening it!!! it' amazing. gone are the days of downloading multiple files with an arbitrary file name and forgetting which zip, then deleting the wrong ZIP!

I had a 35GB zip file that Stuffit and other expander apps wouldn't open. The error was that file was corrupted or the wrong format. I kept downloading the file from my Google Drive over and over again thinking it was the file. Finally, I surfed the web to find this app. I downloaded this app and BINGO, it simply worked. I am so grateful. I wasted so much time today to finally have this work. What a relief.
