DefaultAppMapper
See and change file defaults
Only for Mac
$1.99
Mac
Every file type on your Mac in one list, next to the app that opens it. Change any default in two clicks - no Get Info dialogs, one file at a time.
Default App Mapper puts every file type association on your Mac into one screen,
and lets you change any of them in two clicks.
macOS keeps this setting inside the Get Info panel, one file at a time. No
screen tells you what opens your .csv files, or which extensions the editor you
installed last week quietly took over. Defaults drift, and you find out only
when the wrong app opens.
Open the app and every extension is listed next to the application that
currently opens it, sorted into Documents, Images, Video, Audio, Code, Archives,
Data and Other. Click an app name and pick another - only applications that can
actually open that type are offered, and the change applies system-wide right
away. Switch to Group by App for the opposite view: exactly which extensions
each application has claimed, so you can hand back the ones you never meant to
give it. Search filters by extension or app name. Around 285 common extensions
are covered.
One screen for every file type default on your Mac. Native SwiftUI for macOS
Sonoma and later, with no account, no server and no network connection -
everything stays on your Mac.
