Stop rating. Start comparing. Delecto turns a 600-frame shoot into your four keepers, two photos at a time, by hand or with Apple Intelligence on your Mac. 600 frames. Four keepers. One bracket. Star ratings ask a question you can't answer: how good is this photo? Delecto asks one you can answer in a second: which of these two is better? Answer it enough times and your shoot culls itself. HOW IT WORKS • Point Delecto at a folder. Every photo is shuffled into a bracket, so no frame gets a head start. • Two photos appear side by side. Click the better one, or press ← or →. Space zooms in to check focus. • Winners advance, round after round. ↑ keeps both, ↓ drops both, ⌘Z undoes a pick, even across rounds. • Stop when you're down to the handful you wanted, or keep going until one champion is left. LET APPLE INTELLIGENCE TAKE THE FIRST PASS Click Let Apple Intelligence cull and walk away. It judges every match on your Mac (sharpness, exposure, faces, the moment) and gives each verdict a one-line reason you can read, question, or overrule. Take over at any moment. Or keep every decision yourself and press S for a second opinion. SEE HOW EVERY PHOTO GOT THERE When the bracket ends, your keepers are ranked by how far they went, from the champion down to round one. Switch to the Bracket view to see the whole shoot drawn as a tree, with the winner's path in gold. YOUR FILES STAY PUT Delecto records decisions, not file changes. Nothing is moved, renamed, or edited while you cull. When you're done, export your picks as copies, or move them if you prefer. XMP and AAE sidecars travel with their photos. • Every pick is saved the moment you make it. Close the window and resume later. • Re-run a bracket from all your photos, or from just your picks. • JPEG, HEIC, and camera RAW (CR2, CR3, NEF, ARW, DNG, RAF, ORF, RW2, and more), decoded natively by macOS. • A small Brackets.delecto file keeps the sorting with the folder, so it travels to another Mac or drive. PRIVATE BY DESIGN No account. No tracking. No analytics. No subscription. Delecto has no network access at all, so your photos never leave your Mac, Apple Intelligence culling included. WHY IT EXISTS "I shoot a lot and post very little. Every shoot comes home as a few hundred frames and leaves as one to four. I built Delecto because the fastest way I know to find those four is to stop grading and start comparing. Delecto is Latin for delight, because that's what the last four should be." — Edson, photographer and maker of Delecto Download Delecto and cull your next shoot tonight. Requires macOS 26 or later. Apple Intelligence culling requires a Mac with Apple silicon and Apple Intelligence turned on.
