Since before Detroit's founding in 1701 by Antoine de la Mothe Cadillac, Detroit has been a city full of stories. Detroit History Tours invites you to share in those incredible tales of adventure, experimentation, activism, showmanship, and pure Detroit gumption. Allow us to be your guide to the hidden history of our beautiful city. Whether you are a born and raised Tigers fan or brand new to the Motor City our in-depth, highly researched, expert-led tours have something for everyone.
Detroit History Tours is proud to offer these digital audio tours in addition to our in-person tours by bus, boat, and foot (tickets available on our website Detroithistorytours.com). It is our sincere hope that guests will enjoy downloading these virtual tours and exploring our city on any schedule. The App is complimentary with each tour costing $6 to $20 dollars to download. Once you've bought a tour it's yours for life allowing guests to enjoy it as many times as they'd like.
Geolocation and navigation allow the app to guide you as you walk, bike, or drive the route. At each location, an audio clip will play with accompanying images to teach the history of the location and add details to the story of Detroit. Each tour description informs guests of physical requirements, recommenced travel times, and all needed information to make your tour enjoyable.
Aren't in Detroit but want to "travel" with us? No problem- each tour has a manual feature to allow you to advance through locations hearing the audio and seeing the images without being on location.

Lived here most my life - yet learned so much!
We’ve taken a few Detroit History Club tours in person, pre-covid. Great experiences, yet I was skeptical about on-line tours. Don’t be like that. It was awesome. Always learn something new from the DHC Folks. What a history rich community we live in!
Great app
I was slightly worried I wouldn’t be tech savvy enough for this app tour but was presently surprised by how easy it was to use. Great “how to video” to start that explains everything. Loved loved loved the Belle Isle Tour! Great price for a great experience with my wife.
