I just had my first call and it was great! I’m in Georgia and the person I talked to lives in Italy. It was soooo cool because I’m alone and I was pretty sad because a relationship abruptly ended for no apparent reason so it was so wonderful and uplifting to get out of my mental funk and talk to someone. I felt so disconnected from the world but that call made my day and got me into the swing of my life. We talked for about 45 min regarding everything underneath the sun except the topic we both choose to connect on. I took off a star because the topics you must choose from to connect with others aren’t that great. I wish there were way more topics such as topics related to work, relationships, home schooling, single parenthood, entertainment, spirituality and religion (with specific sects of course) etc. I mean, if you gonna have topic such as professional Tarot card readers, Bob Ross Painting, the 2020 Election and woodworking, surely you can have more generalized topics as I’ve suggested. Nonetheless, I like it so far so good.

This app's possibilities are endless: both good and bad, most people you bet are awesome but there are some nightmares just like irl. The worst thing is that there's no improvement as they have openly abandoned the app. I can no longer rate conversations (such as reporting a bad caller!!) this puts people in uncomfortable situations where they will feel less safe/able to use this app. Also about 50% of calls drop! Agh! Picking up is also a problem. If this were a phone service/app it'd be 0 but because it's free it's holding up on its last leg. Also as repeatedly mentioned, it's missing a ton of features! If you guys ever update or add features, even every year it would be a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️app.

I LOVE this app. It’s magical. I first discovered it (as many of us did) during Covid in mid-2020. I was jobless, had plenty of time, and wanted to connect with other people. This app was a lifesaver. I chatted with so many lovely people from all over the world and realized that I wasn’t as alone as I felt. I can’t think of a single bad conversation, and I loved the rush of excitement every time I received a call. Every few months I’ll re-download it (my phone likes to un-download it sporadically) and experience the magic again! The app can be a bit buggy, and there’s nothing worse than getting disconnected from someone that you were having a good convo with, BUT it’s gotten a lot better from how it was in 2020. I hope this app lasts forever!

I just had my first call using this app and ended up speaking with the caller for 3 hours! We both did the breakfast prompt. That lasted about 30 seconds and then we just talked about the current state of the world and what we think of it and what we think or hope happens next. Apart from that, we talked about movies, art, pets, places we’ve lived. I’ve been incredibly anxious lately as someone self-isolating alone, and this turned my day around. I look forward to more calls!!To the devs, I do have a request - a chat or follow up option if you’d like to stay in touch w past callers - I think this is especially useful when calls get dropped.
