DigHex is a tunnelling arcade game played on one giant hexagon. Walking is digging: every step carves a tunnel through the dirt. Tunnel over any of the hexagon's six edges and the entire board spins to meet you, so you are always standing flat and "down" is always the heart of the hex.
THE GHOSTS ARE COMING. Haunted Space Hotel ghosts hunt you through the tunnels you dig -- and when a tunnel will not take them where they want to go, they turn to vapour and drift straight through the dirt after you. Fend them off with the gadget you start with, and pick up bigger ones along the way.
LET THE WORLD DO THE WORK. Dig out from under a boulder and it falls toward the hub, onto whatever is waiting below. Break into a buried pocket and whatever is inside spills out: water, lava and oil. Water and lava make steam and solid stone. Oil and lava make a very big bang.
POWER-UPS. A beaten ghost sometimes leaves something behind: a burst of speed, a wider dig, a shield, a freeze, double points.
SIX DIGGERS FROM THE HAUNTED SPACE HOTEL, and every one plays differently. Hex is the fastest. Deep swims. Stem walls off the tunnel behind it. Dread eats dirt and makes boulders. Honored walks through fire and lava. Seed can hit a ghost even while it drifts through the dirt.
