DiskMapper helps you understand and clean up disk space on your Mac with a visual treemap. Large files and folders appear as big, colored rectangles so you can quickly spot what is taking up space.
FIND SPACE FAST
- Scan any folder, drive, or external volume you choose
- See files and folders sized by bytes in a color-coded treemap
- Sort the largest files across the current folder or the whole scan
EXPLORE WITHOUT RESCANNING
- DiskMapper saves your latest scan locally for fast reloads
- Drill into folders and jump back with breadcrumb navigation
- Current view shows folders and files at the current level
- Files view shows every file in the current subtree, sorted by size
- Top Files shows the largest files across your entire scan
REVIEW BEFORE CLEANING
- Cleanup Review groups common space hogs like node_modules, installers, caches, Xcode archives, and simulator devices
- Select exactly what you want to remove
- Move selected items to Trash only after confirmation
STAY IN CONTROL
- DiskMapper runs sandboxed and scans locations you select
- Scan data stays on your Mac
- Double-click files to open them and decide if you still need them
- Right-click for Quick Actions: Open, Reveal in Finder, Get Info, Copy Path
- Move individual files or reviewed cleanup candidates to Trash
FAST PARALLEL SCANNING
DiskMapper uses all your CPU cores to scan directories in parallel, so even large drives are mapped quickly. Live progress shows files scanned, folders counted, and bytes discovered in real time.
COLOR-CODED BY TYPE
Instantly distinguish folders (blue), videos (purple), images (indigo), audio (green), documents (orange), archives (red), and code (teal).
