Docket: Code Review

Pull requests, on your desk

Docket answers two questions from your desktop: what is waiting on your review, and what you opened. It counts them apart, because they need different things from you. WHAT IT IS FOR If you belong to several organisations, a review request can arrive while you are in a meeting and sit there until somebody chases you. Docket puts the number of pull requests waiting on you where you cannot miss it. If most of your pull requests are written for you and you are the one who has to approve them, Docket shows the queue and the build state together, so you can go straight to the ones that are green and ready. IT KNOWS WHEN SOMETHING STOPS BEING YOURS Most tools list every pull request you were ever asked to review. Docket counts who has already signed off. Amber while it still needs eyes, green once two people have approved, and a speech bubble once it is approved and you have had your say. The queue shrinks as work moves, which is the only way a queue stays worth reading. ON THE DESKTOP Three widget sizes. Each carries the two counts and one line saying what about them: how many still need review, how many are failing. The large size breaks it down by repository and marks the ones with a broken build. The widget refreshes itself in the background. No helper process runs on your Mac, and nothing stays resident when you close the app. FOLLOW EVERYTHING, WATCH A FEW Being in thirty repositories does not mean thirty of them deserve desktop space. Every repository has two switches: one for the main screen, one for the widgets. Hide drafts and bot pull requests while you are there. YOUR TOKEN NEVER LEAVES YOUR MAC Docket has no server. There is no account to create and nothing to opt out of. Your GitHub token lives in your Keychain, signing out deletes it, and the only thing the app talks to is GitHub. No analytics, no telemetry, no third party. Sign in through GitHub's own device flow and revoke it whenever you like. REQUIREMENTS macOS 14 or later. A GitHub account. Organisations that restrict third-party OAuth applications must approve Docket before their repositories appear; Settings links straight to the page where that is done.
