Google Docs does everything I need

Google docs so far has done everything I've needed it to.. truthfully all the google versions of other popular used programs have worked great for me. The other day I was able to convert an original Microsoft program document to a Mac document and then to a Google Document. I now have that important file on all 3 platforms and it is so satisfying. Google programs are future, everyone should start using now.

Low Functionality

This app is less functional and less intuitive compared to just having a browser window open. You can’t upload entire folders, you must select individual files. The main function I’m looking for is an easy way to automatically merge contents within a folder while weeding out duplicates which is something very easy to do with Finder on Mac and with Dropbox when using their desktop app. Otherwise I have to go through and manually select individual files for upload and directly check to see which files are already in the drive folder and which files are new. Very time consuming. Would love to see this functionality improved, so you can treat the app like an external drive with similar file transfer and archival/backup usage.

Just a file viewer, nothing else.

This app is simply a file viewer for whats on your Google drive. You can't even open the files within the app, you download them onto your computer and open it with whatever Word Doc type of program you had prior to downloading this. You can not open up your docs and edit them, you can simply change their name. Yes, you can "create" new docs from within the app - and that’s it. Once you create the doc and give it a name, the apps functionality stops there. The company hides the Free Trial behind an extremely small "More" button at the bottom of the buy page. As a longtime internet marketer and owner of 17 large ecom stores, I can say that things like that will show you the level of 'shady' that you're dealing with.

The utility and functionality of this app are top notch. Since Google seems to have ZERO interest in supporting its cloud service with ANY kind of useful app for any operating system not named CHROME OS, this is the best I've ever seen to get done what's needs doing, as far as file management tasks are concerned.On the slightly down side, someone needs to help the developer get some much improved icon sets into the mix. Also, not being to batch select files is cumbersome. 🤫
