New in this version Twelve editor themes, Paper, GitHub, Sepia, Solarized, Nord, Monokai, Dracula, One Dark, Tokyo Night, Gruvbox and Night Owl. Each is a card painted in its own colours in Settings › Appearance. Two follow your system; the other ten take the whole app with them, so a dark theme no longer sits inside light menus. An editor that reads like one. Seven body fonts, headings with room around them, blockquotes with a bar, and fenced code in a bordered box with its language coloured. Folders that hold your notes. Open a folder in the sidebar and the notes are inside it. Drag a note onto a folder to file it, or swipe a folder to rename or delete it. Anything you never filed sits under Unfiled with a count. Tags, search and the word count now work in every language. #café, #日本語 and #проект are tags — they used to be skipped or cut short. Searching "cafe" finds "café", and a note in Japanese, Chinese or Thai is counted properly instead of coming out at about one word. You always know where you stand. The status bar shows Saved, and when you last edited the note. It stays on in Reading View, so a save that fails while you're reading tells you. Save, Save As and Rename are in the editor's ••• menu. More room to work. The top row and the find bar now fit whatever width they are given, so an iPad in portrait or Split View no longer runs them off the edge. Settings, the theme picker and the accent colours are all sized for a phone. One note: if you have never chosen a theme, the editor opens on GitHub this time and will look different.
