Drybar 4+

I don’t know why Drybar felt the need to improve its app when it was great the way it was.

Now it’s a hassle to use:

First off, you have to manually type in your sign in info every time. With so many accounts, passwords and email addresses, I have to go to my secure PW keeper to remember, if I’ve closed the app out. You can’t copy and paste to the sign in, nor will it take your shortcut letters, as everything else does.

Second, you have to choose which salon you want to use every time. Just go straight to my favorites. I don’t want to go to a map.

Then you have to go through several question’s before getting to the booking part, even though they’re the same answers every time. No, I don’t have extensions and even though you check don’t ask again, it still asks.

Those are just a few of my gripes. But a biggie now is that it doesn’t show my appointments. So I have no idea what I’ve booked for the holidays. My first appointment showing up for me is in October 2022! That means if I accidentally booked 2 in a week, I don’t know that. And if I found a new opening (rare) and booked it, I can’t cancel the other one. I have to call to cancel.

Please fix this one great app!

The new app is absolutely useless and has several bugs and shortcomings. To start with, users have to enter credentials every time they launch the app!!!!! When you launch the app it doesn’t auto authenticate you so you have to manually enter your User Name and Password!!! The appointments are SO limited on the app but if you call the location branch directly you will be offered number of open time slots! There are no phone numbers listed for branch locations so while the app asks to call the branch directly to book an appointment if there are no open slots, you have to Google the branch’s phone number!!! The steps to select Add Ons doesn’t prompts automatically to the next step unless you manually tab on Skip or Next, I guess the intention is to push for cross selling services. Overall it falls short on the most basic features. At least fix the authentication and authorization so I don’t have tab in my User Name and Pass every time I launch the app!

I liked the old app. I live in an area where there are several DryBar locations around. I don’t like having to choose a location, then go through the whole process of answering the questions just to see the available appointment times for that location. I liked the old app when I could choose when I wanted an appointment and it would show me which locations had availability around that time. It took me forever to book last night.

Also, I always check the box “Don’t ask me again” on the question about extensions. It still asks every time.

All in all, this app was a big miss. The old one was much better and quicker to use.
