Very disappointing

I’m extremely happy with my new V4s just as I’ve always been with any Ducati I’ve owned. When I ride I like to focus on the road and not be distracted with crap like phones, apps, and GPS devices. The Sygic app has frozen up on me 3 of the 4 times I’ve used it. Having to have my phone unlocked with two apps running seems pretty pointless to me. The display on the Multistrada V4s is absolutely beautiful but these apps basically make it useless. I know this is new software and hopefully it’ll get better in time but for now I’ll stick with my iPhone, Waze, and Garmin Zumo. None of those are perfect either but at least when I use them I don’t become so enraged that I contemplate riding my bike into a tree. This is too expensive of a bike to have to deal with things like this especially when cars that cost less than this bike have CarPlay. I don’t understand how Ducati could incorporate radar into this bike and not CarPlay. I was also disappointed to learn that I was sold a bike that had an engine replacement do to recall. It would have been nice to have been informed before I purchased. I would have waited.

Dear user, thank you for your report. We would like to inform you that with the new Multistrada V4 S and V4 S Sport, Ducati includes the Sygic premium license linked to the VIN of the bike that allows you to: have the maps always updated, use the navigator also offline, fixed speed cameras and many other options.
The license is free for Ducati customers who own the MTS V4 S and V4 S Sport and is activated automatically when the phone is connected to the bike via Ducati Connect. We remain at your disposal, thank you, Ducati team.

Worst app ever!

It’s difficult for me and I hope other people to try to realize why Ducati can build such a fantastic machine and then equip it with the most useless apps such as this! Is it Ducati or VW/AG that is too freaking cheap to roll out the dough for CarPlay or the equivalent instead they have to get somebody to develop cheap crap like this sorry for the harsh words but I’m just speaking how I feel. It’s simply just does not work! And the fact that you have to leave your phone unlocked and open is ridiculous it should run in the background, come on Ducati! This causes the phone to overheat and shut down in many cases, and I’m not the only one having this issue. Unfortunately as much as I try to have faith in your products this app is completely useless and I have deleted it from my phone and I will not be using it. Instead, I have to go to the added expense of getting a handlebar mounted GPS unit so I can have reliable navigation.

Dear user, thank you for your report. We inform you that at the moment this is a feature of Ducati Connect due to the operating systems of the smartphone. We inform you that Ducati together with its partners is studying a solution to overcome this limitation. We remain at your disposal. Thank you, the Ducati team.

Poor choice Ducati

The whole world understands Google maps and CarPlay. Ducati chose to go exclusively with Bosch, requiring a subscription for simple things like speed limits, in an extremely clunky set up over wifi that fails frequently unless you leave your ohone wide open, unlocked always. This is a massive hack, not to mention security risk, a super clunky solution and well beneath what anyone buying even a cheap car now a days would expect ... let alone on the top of the line touring bike from Ducati.

Total #Fail Ducati. Disappointed.

The only reason i gave it 2 stars not 1, is because if you fight with it enough, do all the stupid and insecure things it says to do, and do not stray off the path, it can work. But, come on! I expect more for a top of the line Multistrada navigation solution in 2021. Poor showing.
