Been a member at EBC for ~20 years and the app rarely works at all. It’s on an infinite loader most of the time - so much so that I expect it not to work more often than I expect it to. The UX is awful. For example, it shows you as signed up for a class when you are on the waitlist. The app is inaccessible to the point that it breaks the law. All the above can be persevered through when you have a great club to go to. Yet, as of the past month, ebc has massively gone downhill. It’s as if member services is seeing how many people they can shove in the club while decreasing quality drastically. The facilities simply don’t support the number of members they have. A lot of us kept the club going during covid and the great recession but now we are getting punished for our loyalty.

I’ve been a member for over a year and have to delete and reinstall this app on average once per week. It constantly fails to load class schedules and CAC reservations, fails to register for classes or book reservations, or just generally stops working. Right now it won’t even let me log in. The web browser unfortunately isn’t much better on mobile. Frustrating that such an expensive gym can’t make a functional app.

The app is good at using your location data to tell you when you’re on or near the club premises, but the useful features are often down—sometimes I can book the lap pool, sometimes it freezes on the loading screen.Somehow my hair stylist can provide a website with a stable booking feature but EBC can’t figure this out with my $275/month dues?

The most absurdly frustrating, under-performing app I have ever used. If I wasn’t forced to use it I would have deleted it for good years ago. Sometimes the data doesn’t load… sometimes the pricing is wrong… sometimes it says your login info is incorrect! I’d like to give it 0 stars! Deleting it 8-10x a month in the hopes it comes back right is NOT a proper consumer experience.
