Echo Viewer is a companion app to the Echo learning management system that gives students and parents access to course grades, course agendas, upcoming assignments, and more. Echo Viewer empowers students and parents to have greater awareness of their performance at school and to take steps to achieve success. See AllI like the simplicity, but needs more options.
What I really love is the simplicity of the app, the app goes straight to view your classes, very organized. It’s not laggy for me at all btw!
However, I think there needs to be more things on the app.
It would be nice if it would have...
- (this is a must) access to submit assignments I understand that it is a viewer app, not a place to submit, but some students don’t have access on their computers
- a personalized reminder feature upcoming due assignments ( since students use their phones all the time (like me) upcoming assignments being displayed as a reminder is an effective way to remind students to do their work lol)
- it is nice that it is simple, but maybe a little more color in the “To do list” area? It just looks like grey text, so it would be more appealing if there was color added to make it pop out more
Basically, it should have more features that are similar to the actual Echo App.
If these things were added, it would be more aesthetic, accessible, and also more effective to helping students excel in their studies.

Needs great improvement
It’s... not terrible. It definitely has a better UI than the mobile interface of the website, but you can’t view assignment details, which is annoying to say the least. I will not, however, be uninstalling, because I expect updates.
Grades display incorrectly
So, when I first went to get the app, I saw alright reviews. Not the best, but I thought it would be better that trying to get my grades an agendas from the mobile browser. How wrong I realize I was. First of all, login is an issue. The teachers at my school don’t give us any details on how to login to the mobile app, and I took me a while to realize the “school ID” is the first part of the URL you use to log into your school’s echo website. Next when I went in to check my grades, I realized something was off. I looked at my grades on the app, then I looked at my grades on the website. They were two completely different grades! And it was off by almost 20% as well. Also, the UI is just not very appealing at all. I wish this was a useful app for schoolwork, but it is horrible.
