THE DATA IS NOW THE IGN'S We were listing 4,067 municipalities inside totality; Spain's Instituto Geográfico Nacional lists 3,951. We were telling 116 towns they would see Spain's first total eclipse since 1905, and they won't. Not any more. Where totality does happen, the duration is the IGN's too: near the edge of the path we were off by up to 30 seconds — exactly where it matters. AND THE WHOLE APP IN CATALAN All 1,203 strings, from the first screen to the small print in the shop. Seven languages now. The shop is open: 15 items printed with the name of the Spanish town where you'll be watching and the time of its maximum, plus eclipse glasses certified to EN ISO 12312-2:2015, examined by a notified body, with the certificate in front of you before you pay. THE SHOP, INSIDE THE APP · 15 items — t-shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies, tote bag, poster, canvas, mugs — personalized with the Spanish town where you'll watch it, the time of its maximum and, where there is totality, how many seconds it lasted. · 50 designs, and a line of your own on the ones that carry one. · A search box that ignores accents and matches fragments: "shirt" finds the t-shirt. · Filters by type and color, and the one that matters this month: "arrives in time for the eclipse", from a delivery time measured item by item. If it does not arrive before August 12, you get a 100% refund. · A shopping bag: several lines, quantities up and down, subtotal in view, one single payment at the end. · Delivery time, the price with VAT included and where each thing ships are all stated before you pay. Printed items are made on demand and ship to the 27 countries of the European Union; the glasses come from stock, in their own parcel. CERTIFIED ECLIPSE GLASSES EN ISO 12312-2:2015 and Regulation (EU) 2016/425, with EU type-examination by a notified body — DIN CERTCO, number 0196 — and the certificate number and its validity on the page, before you pay. Anyone can type "certified" on a product page; what can be checked is that four-digit number, and there it is. It is the only filter that protects your eyes: without one you must not look at the Sun at any point, not with the Sun low and not at 99.9%. They ship to addresses in Spain, mainland and the Balearics, not to the Canary Islands, and the app says so before you choose. Flying in? Have them delivered to your hotel in Spain. Each listing states its standard, its notified body and where it ships before you choose, because the two do not cover the same countries. AND THREE FIXES YOU WILL NOTICE · The widget could stay behind in another town and show the time and the percentage of a place that was no longer yours. Now the home screen and the app always name the same town. · With Pro, the copy saved to Photos comes without the watermark. It used to be stripped only from the copy inside the app, and on August 12 the automatic shutter leaves about a dozen. · The live screen switches itself off so that you look up instead. Now it warns you five minutes ahead and names the exact time it will go quiet, instead of going blank with no explanation. Everything about the eclipse still works with no signal: the times, the map and all 9,255 towns are computed inside the phone.
