Egg Notes
Secure notes & knowledge graph
Free · In‑App Purchases
A simple shell. An entire life inside.
Egg is a private home for everything you write, record, and refuse to lose. Notebooks, tags, and files that live inside the note, on iPhone, iPad, Mac, and the web.
FAST
Press Command K and start typing. Egg answers before you finish the word. Titles rank first, then your own words, then the words inside your files, right down to what was said in a recording. Typos forgiven, connection optional.
EMBED PDFS, IMAGES, AUDIO, AND VIDEO
Drag anything into a note and it stays there. PDFs read in place, images sit at full width, and audio and video play where you dropped them. Keep a file inline or leave it as a tile you tap to open. Recordings transcribe in a tap and every word lands in search, so you find a recording by what was said in it rather than scrubbing a timeline.
ONLINE AND OFFLINE
Your library lives on your device, so you can read on a plane, write in a tunnel, and search on a dead hotel network. Edits queue in order and land everywhere else the moment you have a signal again.
SECURE BY DEFAULT
Encrypted server storage and HTTPS protect your notes and files. Choose a simple PIN to lock Egg on this device.
ONE LIBRARY, EVERY SCREEN YOU OWN
Native on iPhone, iPad, and Mac, plus a full web app in any browser. Real windows, real menus, real offline. Write on the phone and it is on the Mac before you sit down.
MOVING IN
Bring a library over from Evernote, Google Keep, Simplenote, or a folder of Markdown, text, and HTML files. Every file is checked against the original after upload, and if a single byte is off the import stops and names the file rather than losing it quietly.
EASY COME, EASY GO
One click exports everything you own as a portable archive. Notes, files, notebooks, tags, trash and all, readable without us. Leaving should never require permission.
NOTHING WATCHING
No trackers and no third party analytics in the app. Sign in with a passkey using Face ID, Touch ID, or your device PIN, or add an authenticator app. Both are free on both plans.
PLANS
Free includes 100 notes, unlimited notebooks and tags, every device always in sync, 1 GB of attachments, passkeys and two factor, and full export.
Cracked is an annual subscription that lifts the ceiling: unlimited notes, 10 GB of attachments, audio transcription, and full library import. One purchase covers every device you own.
Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel your subscription in your Apple Account settings after purchase.

Ratings & Reviews
- This app hasn’t received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.
Formatting controls and keyboard focus work again on iPhone, iPad and Mac. Notes edited on another device now arrive while the app stays open. Related notes now open from a bar at the foot of the note that you can expand and collapse.
