It’s one of the best apps for rides in Saudia I have used it and liked it. Prices are pretty reasonable will always use it when I come to Saudia

Need more favorites & card support

So far I like Ego because there’s usually a driver nearby. But I can only add 4 favorites, and I want to add more (at least 7, maybe 10!), especially because when I select a location on the map before ordering, it usually comes out wrong once I order. Somehow, Ego moves the destination location a few hundred meters away from where I placed it, and then I have to direct the drivers personally as they drive me. Also, I have tried twice to add a US credit card to Ego, and it just says to check that the details are correct (even when I check and I’m sure it’s correct), so I’m stuck always paying cash. This means I mostly avoid using Ego for longer rides, since I get paid to my US bank and so it’s hard to keep enough Saudi cash around.

Great fares but 75% of drivers cancel or demand that the iD cancels

I’ve been using this app for a couple of weeks to see how well (or unwell) their service is. The fares are perhaps the best I’ve seen, but there’s a catch. There are frequent cancellations and the occasional driver taking the “scenic route” rather than follow the navigation. A lot of them demand cash rather than credit although the company takes credit. It might be worthwhile to take another ride share that’s more expensive rather than try to save money with the excessive inconvenience.

**Update: So I tried giving Ego more chances to disappoint me again. The drivers are not cancelling as much. Instead, they either call the rider (me) to ask me to cancel or they just never come at all.

The ones who do pick up and drop off often argue about not getting cash payment and then give the riders low ratings for using credit card or even the wallet option on the Ego app itself.

Customer service is useless because when one has a legitimate complaint, no reimbursement is done and nothing ever improves.

I gave this a few months. It’s more than enough. Even if the competitors are more expensive, one gets what one pays for. If you want to wait 30 minutes to get an obnoxious driver to complain about the form of payment, use this app.
