App Is Usless
This is one of the most useless apps I’ve ever attempted to use. I downloaded the app, registered and uploaded all my equipment. Then went to the website on my computer and the two are not tied to each other! I had to REDO everything! Additionally I initially downloaded the app so I could it with my power station. To use it with my power station I have to go through three steps to get to my power station I always have to log in and accept the terms. Then scroll to the power station and then click on WiFi or Bluetooth. Once in the app the level of charge shown by the arrow is ALWAYS the same. The design is worse than it was before the update and looks like my kid created it because it is so glitchy. They are an amazing electric tool company. They are a terrible app company. Spend the money to have someone build you an awesome app and quit wasting our time and energy.
Leaves Much to be Desired
I had purchased three previous EGO products and registered them directly on the website with no problem. When I purchased the 21 inch EGO Power + XP mower,I noticed on the box that there was an app for it. I downloaded the app and tried to register my three new products — the mower, the battery, and the battery charger. It seems like the battery and the battery charger registered fine, except when I went back later to check the serial number that I had entered, there was no information, and there was a note that said “register your product.“ Then when I went to register my mower through the app, it seemed to go through also, but when I went back to look at it, the app had the wrong model number assigned to it. So I went over to the EGO website and registered all three again, and all went perfectly. I then went back to the app and tried to set up the Bluetooth on the new battery charger, and it took me at least six tries to get it to take. I wish the EGO app software were half as great as the products are. A two star rating is being generous.
Finally pulled the trigger on this baby after Hurricane Isaias left us without power for eight hours. Eight hours.......in a house with 2 kids, a wife and no electricity = 😖😫🥺😭. Anyway, still testing it out, so far so good. The app is ok, I have multiple EGO tools in addition to the Nexus so it's nice to have all the info on the tools available. One thing though, the Bluetooth feature works but the WiFi connectivity doesn't work. Same goes for my Nexus Escape power inverter, except neither Bluetooth nor Wifi work. I always get "Oops! There was a problem connecting". I know the app was redone recently so I'm assuming that it's a glitch. Hope that EGO works on that. All and all its pretty good. Just have to save up, I would like to purchase two more 7.5's. (the price!!! HOOFAH!!! 😖😫🥺😭)
