Ellipse is a keyless, solar powered bike lock that pairs with your phone, providing industrial strength security with the added protection of theft alerts.
With the Ellipse app, you can:
Lock/Unlock with phone or proximity: Open the app and tap the locking circle, or enable proximity lock/unlock so you can just snap the shackle into the lockbar and walk away.
Receive Theft Alerts: when your bike is being tampered with, Ellipse will detect the motion and send you an alert.
Share Access: create and setup your own bike share network with your friends and family.
Configure the Touchpad: set a unique combination that can be used to lock or unlock Ellipse if your phone dies.
Enable Crash Alerts: if you happen to be in an accident, your phone will notify your preferred contacts.

Do not do the October 2017 Update
Since updating, my phone stopped “seeing " the lock. Lattis support helped me out. What ultimately did it was inviting a friend to share the lock. He was able to unlock it. Then I was able to do the hard reset and my phone connected to it again. Back to working.

My lock no longer works
App randomly logged me out. I tried going back in and it said I didn't have an account or number set-up, but I thought I must have to even get it initially working since I've been using it all summer. Regardless, I had to create a new account since it didn't recognize either an email, or existing phone number to send reset info to, and now when I try to connect it says "server error". It did this when I got to work yesterday and I desperately needed to just lock up and clock on, but I ended up being late because I had to stash my bike in some bushes. The capacitive buttons also are having issues. Extreme frustrated right now.
iphone 5SE working
The app now works with iPhone SE. Love this lock. The dev team quickly fixed the account issue I reported and also updated the app. I am very impressed with their responsiveness.
To recap, I have been using the lock since its release. Last week, I moved from iPhone 6 to iPhone 5SE and I wasn’t able to pair the new phone with my lock. Now it works like a charm with the app update!
