Five locked nodes. Each says what it wants; none say the phone is the key. Cut it off, lay it face down, make the room loud — and the fifth is not the last.
A terminal boots. Five nodes are locked. Each one tells you what it wants. None of them tell you that the phone in your hand is the key.
ENDPOINT ALPHA has no buttons to press and no puzzles on the screen. The puzzles are the device itself. Cut it off from the network and something opens. Lay it face down on a table and leave it there, and something else does. The room has to be made loud. The volume keys are a keypad.
The terminal shows you exactly what it can sense — the link, the way the device is tilted, how loud the room is, what the volume keys are doing. Reading that live readout against what each node is asking for is the game.
The fifth node needs two of the others held at the same time, which means solving it without being able to see the screen. It is not the last thing here.
WHAT IT IS
One screen. No timer, no fail state, no score. Work it out, or put it down and come back. Every node you open leaves a fragment of the log behind — tap it to read what the endpoint was for.
WHAT IT IS NOT
No ads. No in-app purchases. No account. No internet — the app makes no network requests of any kind, which is not a privacy promise so much as a design constraint: an endpoint that phones home is not air-gapped. Your progress is saved on the device and nowhere else.
ON THE MICROPHONE
Two nodes listen to the room — one for noise, and one for the absence of it. The audio is measured and thrown away in the same breath: nothing is recorded, nothing is stored, nothing is sent anywhere. There is nowhere for it to be sent to.
