I want to start off by saying I absolutely love this app. It’s great. My coach uses it to give all of his clients everything we need to track our workouts. I don’t use the food / meal section because it seems like it doesn’t calculate everything correctly. My only issue with it is, I wish it would show you somewhere during your active workout you’re doing what your weights and rep ranges were from the previous week. TrainHeroic did that, which is why I liked that app a lot. I would just like to be able to see all prior weights and rep ranges from the previous week. It only shows your weight and rep ranges on the first set but doesn’t follow through from the previous week.

The app does most of what I need it to, but is very glitchy and can be difficult to use. In the workout section it does what it needs to, but as other reviewers have noted lacks basics like auto-fill of weights based on previous use or (even better!) recalculating the weight based on best guess at RPE for you. It also used to stay open during workouts but in recent versions the phone goes to lockscreen while you’re idle (i.e. doing the exercise) which is extremely annoying. The other major gripe I have is that the forums are not functional. Every time I type something in the forum the text gets garbled because it’s trying to autocomplete words for me but then weirdly puts the cursor back in the middle of the previous word so I’m typing nonsense. I’ve never experienced this before in another app. More importantly when I’m in the forums, 2/3 times the app freezes and crashes and I have to wait while I reopen the app. This has been a problem since my program started using Everfit and they haven’t fixed it during that entire time. It’s extremely annoying and at this point the coaches are just telling us to write our post or reply in another app and copy/paste it because it will always crash before we can get through writing it in Everfit.

The active and inactive buttons look almost identical — the beige tones are too similar, making it unclear which state they’re in. At first, I assumed the button was inactive because it looked so pale, so I waited for something to load and double-checked my entries, thinking I had missed something. Out of frustration, I finally pressed it, and only then did it work. That kind of confusion shouldn’t happen — buttons need clear contrast and visual cues that communicate they’re ready to be pressed.I noticed a similar issue with the buttons used to check off sets. The colors for “checked” and “unchecked” states are nearly the same, so I can’t easily tell which ones I’ve marked as complete. To make things worse, sometimes the check mark disappears, which makes me think I didn’t complete the set after all. I found myself repeatedly checking and unchecking just to confirm their status 😩.Overall, clearer button states and stronger visual feedback would make the experience much smoother and more intuitive.

Started using the app around 5 weeks ago with my PT. It’s incredibly similar to other PT apps out there that I have used before, but with less integration with Apple fitness and Apple health - both reading and writing. The usability of the app is fairly straightforward although unlike competitors it does not allow you to add a weight to a particular move and apply to all sets, which would be more straightforward. Does not write things such as workout length to apple fitness so you have to both start your workout in Everfit and also start a workout in Apple fitness which seems duplicative. Overall not a bad app but more of an average “me too” to the competition rather than a “better different” in terms of innovation and performance. Fingers crossed they keep developing and innovating to improve.
