Whether you’re splitting a dinner bill, tracking group trip expenses, or settling dues with flatmates, ExpenSync makes the entire process fast, transparent, and hassle-free. The application provides a seamless experience where users can create groups, add members, and log expenses in seconds. ExpenSync automatically calculates who owes whom, maintaining a real-time balance for every person in the group — eliminating the need for manual calculations or separate spreadsheets. Tap & Split One of the standout features of ExpenSync is its Tap & Split functionality, which allows users to split a bill instantly by tapping phones via NFC or sharing via AirDrop — with no account setup or contact syncing required. Receipt Scanner ExpenSync includes a built-in receipt scanner powered by Apple Intelligence. Users can point their camera at any receipt, and the app automatically extracts items and amounts, allowing them to assign individual shares without any manual entry. Bank SMS Parsing The app supports Bank SMS parsing, where users can paste a payment confirmation message and ExpenSync automatically extracts the amount, merchant, and date — saving time and reducing errors. Offline-First Experience ExpenSync is built offline-first, meaning it works fully without an internet connection using MultipeerConnectivity and local storage. All data syncs automatically via CloudKit when a connection becomes available. Spend Awareness Dashboard The application also features a Spend Awareness dashboard where users can view spending breakdowns by category and time period, helping them build better financial habits.
