Fallacy Map

New: biases that fool YOU, reflection questions, verdicts that end in action, and a Story view for linked claims. Spot the trick. Then spot it in yourself. FallacyMap is your on-device workbench for thinking clearly — against manipulation from the media, from other people, and from your own mind. CAPTURE THE CLAIM Record who said what, where, when, through which channel and why — plus who is writing the analysis: you. Source and judgement stay separate. ANALYSE THE MANIPULATION 30 patterns in two groups: the 20 classic fallacies used ON you (orange) and the 10 biases you use ON yourself (purple): confirmation bias, motivated reasoning, cognitive dissonance, sunk cost… Each explains how the trick works, why it fails, and ends with a reflection question that makes you stop and think. REFLECT BEFORE YOU JUDGE Every statement has a reflection section: write the strongest version of the opposing view (the steel man), and declare in advance what evidence would change your mind. CONCLUDE IN ACTION Reach a verdict — accepted as sound, rejected as manipulation, or needs more evidence — and note a small, concrete next step. SEE THE STORY Link claims with “flowed from”, watch the flow in the mind map; the Story view reads the whole chain as one narrative from origin to outcome. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Everything lives on your device: no accounts, no tracking, no network. Every change lands in a signed, tamper-evident audit log you can verify at any time.
