Faux Pause holds your camera on a clean, natural frame the moment you tap, without ever switching it off. We've all needed a second on a call: to grab a coffee, get the door, or just look away and breathe. But turning your camera off makes a thing of it. Faux Pause keeps your video looking alive instead, so you can take the moment you need without making it everyone's business. THREE WAYS TO STEP AWAY • Freeze: hold one clean frame. The quiet default, and the lightest on your Mac. • Bad Connection: loop the last few seconds with a little stutter, so slipping away just looks like a patchy connection. • Full Loop: replay your last three seconds, gently ping-ponged. Soft, lifelike motion that still reads as "here." Switch modes from the menu, or trigger your default from anywhere with a global shortcut (⌥⌘F). ALL FROM THE MENU BAR Nothing to dig for, no call to interrupt. The little menu-bar mark tells you where you stand at a glance: red when you're live, ice-blue when you're frozen. Open a live preview whenever you want to see exactly what the meeting sees. WORKS WHERE YOU MEET Faux Pause adds a virtual camera that shows up in Teams, Zoom, Meet, FaceTime, and anything else that uses a camera. Pick "FauxPause" as your camera once, then freeze whenever you like. Getting started is now much smoother. If the preview is ever blank, Faux Pause tells you exactly what to fix and takes you there in one click. Also in this update: • Setup finishes by itself after you approve the camera extension, no restart needed. • The menu clearly shows when setup still needs a step. • New option to launch Faux Pause at login, so it's ready before your first call.
