FieldAssist by Accurence 4+

I’ve never used an app with more issues than FieldAssist. You can expect crashing every few photos you take and deleting entire inspections for no reason, but that’s just if you can even get the job to open. Anytime I get to a property for an inspection, I spend the first 20 minutes opening and closing the app, logging out and powering my phone off an on again, or sitting on the support line with people who have clearly never used the app before. Anytime you call the support line they’ll ask if you have a wifi connection. Why would I have wifi on a roof? It’s clear the developers have never actually set foot on a roof, or gone through an inspection. Rather than fixing the pre existing issues, they continue to add new useless features, and with each update the bugs get worse. So far there’s no sign of the developers making any changes anytime soon, therefore screwing over the inspectors trying to do their jobs, screwing over adjusters because necessary photos constantly get deleted, and homeowners are getting screwed over because valuable documentation is getting lost. The complete lack of effort to fix the app, and lack of communication is ridiculous and embarrassing.

They consistently try to fix what ain’t broke it seems. Did the devs not take photos and test the way the app works before rolling out this most recent Feb update?!

They’ve now turned the process of saving a photo to the app’s cache and make the process take 5-10x times longer. This is not even counting upload time for the photos. Taking the photo and adding a caption takes the same amount of time but now I’m having to wait 5-10 seconds for the loading circle to get off my screen to take my next photo. I’m using the current top end iPhone processor and the market and they still manage to slow it to a crawl. This is a widespread issue everyone is reporting. FIX IT NOW it is just wasting techs’ and customers’ time

Not to mention app crashes, input data not saving, and photos disappearing which have been a consistent issue since I downloaded this app in late of 2021!!

All the bad being said I must say the support line for the app is fantastic. If I do have an issue with something unrelated to app reliability they are quick and pleasant to deal with and get my issue resolved on my way to the next inspection. Thanks support team

This app cannot deliver on the only thing I really need it to do which is upload photos and successfully transfer them to the company paying me to take photos.. If I do not catch the tech error while on site I am required to return to the job site to capture photos for no additional compensation. If I decide to capture the photos on my phone and upload them after the inspection it takes 5 clicks and scrolling per picture.. for 100 pictures that’s 500 clicks. Why is there not a batch upload option?
(Batch upload- a feature that allows a user to a select all photos from their device to upload simultaneously.)
