The math game Fiete Math makes counting easy for kids to understand. Based on the educational approach of Montessori, numbers are touchable objects that your child can group, combine and cut up. In this math app children can discover the links between amounts and numbers and develop their confidence in dealing with them. This makes maths fun for kids. GAME PREMISE In this math game the tasks take the form of wonderful harbor scenarios from all around the world. Incoming ships must be loaded by your kids. Boxes can be grouped together and separated just like building blocks. This will change the cargo number. Kids can play in new countries and harbors, win medals and unlock larger ships. This visible progression means more motivation to keep on playing. THE BACKGROUND OF THIS APP - AN UNDERESTIMATED PROBLEM Separating and combining numbers are important foundations to develop calculation strategies. Even an intense study of number systems and mathematic strategies during a normal school day is often not enough. Students who need more time can easily fall behind. Any problems in math are often left to be dealt with by an after-school tutor. Once these are complete, the app randomly creates tasks from the relevant topic so the fun can go on for longer. Ok so this game was great when I got it about a year ago and I bought the expansion but now it’s saying that I didn’t and the prices rose by more than 2 dollars

Developing a deep understanding of the connection between numerals and quantity is an important foundation for all mathematical work. Fiete Math breaks this skill down into very manageable steps and adds a dash of humor to make it more engaging for kids. On an ocean dock, users will find a collection of blocks. If they are single blocks, they are marked with the number 1. If there are two attached blocks, those are marked with a 2 and so on. A boat pulls up to the dock and (with a numeral in the sky above the boat) asks for a certain number of blocks. Players must stick that many blocks together (or slice off enough blocks from a larger group to make the smaller number requested) before they can load the blocks onto the boat. As players progress through the levels, they are sometimes rewarded with new block shapes, still based on a squarish shape, but designed to look like different animals instead of just a square. Keep an eye out for some silly visitors to the dock who are carrying some crazy cargo as they walk by your loading zone!

Great for young kids for early practice with counting and adding small numbers. Apps has a fun atmosphere with animals and oceans. Overall, I had trouble cutting my,bets at times as an 11 year old. So, young children with little to no experience with technology would probably have trouble with that overall good.

We added Fiete Math to the KidsKlub now. KidsKlub apps are safe and ad-free! Previous purchases can be restored via the In-App store. We also fixed some smaller issues and improved stability.
