FileSift is the fastest way to sort a folder full of images, videos, and files into the right places — without dragging things around one at a time in Finder. Point it at a messy folder (Downloads, a camera dump, a screenshots pile) and blast through it: TWO WAYS TO SORT • Focus — a big, one-up preview. Glance at each file and assign it with a single number key. Great for careful review. • Grid — a contact sheet. Select many at once (click, Shift/Cmd-click, or a rubber-band drag) and file them in one move. Both share the same plan, so switch anytime. AUTO-SORT Let FileSift pre-sort for you: group a folder by type, date, download source, size, orientation, or extension. It stages the plan and creates the folders — you review and approve. BUILT FOR SPEED • Hotkeys 1–9 (and 0) assign to destinations instantly • Quick Look with arrow-key browsing, just like Finder • Apply macOS Finder tags while you sort • Sort the view by name, date, size, or kind • Save destination sets as presets and reuse them • Undo and redo; resume an unfinished plan after quitting SAFE BY DESIGN Nothing moves until you press Sort Now and confirm a per-destination summary. Files are moved (never silently overwritten), and the whole review-then-commit flow means you always see the plan first. PRIVATE BY DESIGN FileSift works entirely on your Mac. Your files never leave your device, and the app collects no data and requires no account.
